Sharpen your scythes, as Superkami and Toplitz Productions have announced that their open-world village builder, life simulation, and survival game Sengoku Dynasty is finally leaving early access. The full release is set to officially arrive on Steam on November 7, 2024, with a console release planned for 2025.
Sengoku Dynasty launched into early access on August 10, 2023, last year. The game places players in feudal Japan and tasks them with building and managing villages. You must gather resources, craft, hunt, build, and farm to do so successfully.
Amidst all that management, Sengoku Dynasty also requires you to fight formidable enemies and protect what you’ve created in both solo and co-op multiplayer. In the last 14 months, the game has grown considerably in these areas, introducing features like the Daimyō System, which lets you liberate regions dominated by hostile factions, which also unlocks rare resources and unique technologies that move your dynasty forward.
Other improvements and changes made since entering early access include:
- Improved production system
- Improved character progression
- New tactical block- counter- and evade combat prototype inspired by the soulsborne series of games
- Fences and roads
- Happiness system and
- Dynasty storage system
- Enhanced UI
When talking about leaving early access, Toplitz Productions GmbH CEO Matthias Wünsche stated, “With Sengoku Dynasty, the team at Superkami has truly embraced player feedback since entering Early Access, creating one of the most unique and immersive experiences for crafting a legacy in 16th-century Japan. They’ve delivered a world where players can forge their own path, blending history, adventure, and community-driven gameplay in a way that stands out in the genre.”
Sengoku Dynasty is currently available on Steam, starting at a price point of $29.99.
