Amazon Prime has released the official trailer for its upcoming American adult animated anthology series, Secret Level, which is set to arrive on the platform on December 10, 2024.
Secret Level was originally announced back in August of this year, with a first look presented at Gamescom. The anthology will feature 15 episodes from the mind of Tim Miller (Blur Studios), best known for directing Deadpool and the Netflix anthology series Love, Death, & Robots. Video game series that are set to get their own unique story include:
- Armored Core
- Concord
- Crossfire
- Dungeons & Dragons
- Exodus
- Honor of Kings
- Mega Man
- New World: Aeternum
- PAC-MAN
- Various PlayStation Studios games
- Sifu
- Spelunky
- The Outer Worlds
- Unreal Tournament
- Warhammer 40,000
While their roles have yet to be unveiled, Secret Level also features an insanely stacked cast, including Secret Level showcases a star-studded cast including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kevin Hart, Keanu Reeves, Temuera Morrison, and Laura Bailey. Dave Wilson is also set to serve as the project’s executive producer and supervising director.
The upcoming gaming anthology series will be available exclusively on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide starting on December 10, with two episodes releasing each week until they reach episode 15. Considering the recent success of video game franchises in both television (Arcane, The Last of Us, & Fallout) and movies (Sonic the Hedgehog, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, & Pokémon: Detective Pikachu), it seems like the series has a good chance at getting a second season pretty quickly if Amazon Prime plays their cards right.
