Seafarer: The Ship Sim Details Upcoming Roadmap & Crescent Port Logistics Update

Today, astragon revealed more details about the roadmap content for its highly anticipated upcoming boat simulator, Seafarer: The Ship Sim. The trailer details the upcoming roadmap, which already has two updates planned and a handful of additional teases that the team is already planning for next year.

Seafarer: The Ship Sim update 1 will be all about Crescent Port Logistics: The Bulk and LNG Update. Set to release in Q4 2025, this will add ships Big Trip, Bulk Willy, and Nordic Duchess, LNG operations, and numerous bug fixes and quality of life improvements that will be based on consumer feedback.

The second update is currently estimated to arrive in Q1 2026 and will focus on Tide Guard: The Rescue, introducing new police ships, Salvation and Grace, rescue operations, fixes, improvements, and community wishes. The developers also teased what is to come after this, which you can see alongside the trailer below:

  • A Vessel Editor
  • A new faction (to be revealed later!)
  • Expanded map areas
  • Online co-op and multiplayer missions
  • More ships

For those that may not have heard of Seafarer: The Ship Sim, the simulator places you at the helm of your very own shipping career, featuring an exciting storyline, unique factions, and challenging missions and rewards. Gameplay ranges from transporting goods between harbors, fighting fires on the high seas or exploring a vast world, as you control an entire fleet full of distinct, fully walkable ships.

Upon release, Seafarer: The Ship Sim will feature 30 hours of gameplay and six unique ships to tackle the tasks of the first two factions available: Crescentport Logistics and Tide Guard. Each faction featuring their own unique jobs and missions

It will launch in early access on PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store) on October 7, 2025, for $24.99. Be sure to check back for more ship information in the lead-up to release, as well as afterward, as the developers have promised more will gradually join the fleet as the phase continues.
