The showcase revolves around six boats, ranging from tugboats to emergency vehicles, each with its own unique layout and equipment. You can see the full list of ships that were revealed, as well as the official showcase trailer, right down below:

  • Tugboat Bernhard
  • Cargo Ferry Herbert
  • Police Boat Rigid
  • Police Ship Density
  • Fire Boat Archer
  • Fire Ship Lancer

For those that may not have heard of Seafarer: The Ship Sim, the simulator places you at the helm of your very own shipping career, featuring an exciting storyline, unique factions, and challenging missions and rewards. Gameplay ranges from transporting goods between harbors, fighting fires on the high seas or exploring a vast world, as you control an entire fleet full of distinct, fully walkable ships.

New scenarios will pop up the more you play, including emergency signals that require immediate action and lost cargo that needs to be recovered. You’ll also be responsible for upkeeping your vessel, as you’ll be managing repairs, carrying out maintenance work, or even controlling water cannons to put out fires.

  • The open sea: Players can expect an expansive map inspired by northern European landscapes that invites exploration.
  • Varied career: Different factions offer different missions, each with their own gameplay elements. Explore the extensive world, load valuable cargo or help ships in distress.
  • Take the helm: From small tugboats to gigantic freighters, players navigate a variety of ships through the rough seas.
  • Tasks and duties: Checking machinery, operating cranes and using water cannons – there is always something to do on your own ship.
  • Experience the waves: Unreal Engine 5 and NVIDIA WaveWorks 2.0 offer stunning visuals and realistic wave simulations.
  • No two journeys are the same: The sandbox gameplay with dynamic weather, realistic day/night changes and the character editor ensure a constantly individualized gaming experience.

Seafarer: The Ship Sim is set to release in early access (Steam and Epic Games) for $24.99 at some point later this year. Be sure to check back for more ship information in the lead-up to release, as well as afterward, as the developers have promised more will gradually join the fleet as the phase continues.
