A new patch released today (numbered 0.14.003) added multiplayer with automatic matchmaking, letting you enjoy some PvP if that’s your thing. The full patch notes are available on the game’s Steam forums.

Perhaps even more interesting is the sharing of the roadmap for future updates, which was showcased during a livestream. You can find it below.

Soon, we’ll get the first medium bomber for the AI, the Dornier 17, alongside another update for the multiplayer with lobbies and pilot training.

Updates further in the future will add more bombers with the Junkers Ju 88 and the Bristol Blenheim, the Messerschmitt Bf 110 heavy fighter, more depth in pilot growth and customization, and much more.

There will also be updates to the audio and visual departments, with better landscapes and environment art, additions to the soundtrack, better damage visuals, and more.

The channel defense campaign will also be coming, letting you engage in the titular Battle of Britain itself, alongside a scenario editor, considerably widening the gameplay options.

No dates or release windows were provided for these features just yet, so we’ll have to wait and see when they will come.

Update roadmap for Scramble: Battle of Britain

If you’re unfamiliar with Scramble: Battle of Britain, it’s a combat simulation game focusing on military aviation, but it isn’t a flight simulator per se, focusing more on the tactical aspects of dogfighting.

It’s currently available in early access for PC via Steam.
