Today, Saber Interactive released Patch 1.5 for RoadCraft, the very first update for the construction simulator.
Patch 1.5 includes bug fixes, better AI convoys, and several other quality-of-life changes. The full patch notes can be found here on Steam, though some of the biggest ones are below.
For PC players, there’s no longer a profanity filter when players are choosing their company name. This was causing some unintended problems with names that shouldn’t have been flagged.
Additionally, players can no longer go into multiplayer without accepting the Privacy Policy. A pop-up will stop anyone who tries.
Other multiplayer issues and bugs were also patched out, considering co-op gameplay is a big feature of the game. This includes bridges that weren’t saving correctly, problems with joining other players, sound problems, and other bugs.
A few other changes include:
- V-Sync setting is automatically enabled (PC)
- Rain will appear less often
- No more “giant grass”
- Players won’t get stuck in credits anymore
- Fixed multiple crashing problems
The convoy AI vehicles are more reliable and efficient when it comes to going over harsh terrain. The AI will also correctly dump sand, which was an unintended problem.
There were also several updates to various vehicles, most of which were visual effects or bugs that caused the vehicles to get stuck. These include the following:
- Tuning Paver DS 135A “Bunker” parameters to increase mobility
- Aramatsu Crayfish Tree Harvester will no longer pierce itself
- Trolley movement buttons are no longer mixed up
- Aramatsu Bowhead 30T will no longer spin uncontrollably
- Roller DS 55K “Katok” won’t spawn inverted
Other fixes include general visual and sound adjustments that root out bugs and make the game more stable. There were also some improvements for players on the Steam Deck, mainly focused on performance.
RoadCraft Patch 1.5 comes a little over a week after the simulator’s launch. Saber Interactive has big plans for RoadCraft, which they detailed in a post-launch community update.
