Developer and publisher Exkee has announced Rescue Ops: Wildfire, a firefighting simulation game that’s releasing in Early Access in 2025.
Rescue Ops: Wildfire pits players against unpredictable wildfires. They’ll need to fight the flames, rescue civilians, and clear forests after wildfires.
To fight fires, players will use realistic firefighting equipment and gear, including vehicles like fire engines and helicopters. Putting out fires requires strategy, and players can use a variety of backup support as needed, like water bombers.
Players will also be managing the teams that are there to fight fires, directing ground control and even micromanaging different things, like calling for more water to be delivered.
There will be a variety of regions that players will encounter, all offering a different simulation experience and factors that affect the fire. For example, the wind plays a massive role in how fires spread, along with the openness of the terrain.
Players can either go through the campaign or play in a sandbox mode. The campaign can be played solo or with a firesquad of two to four players. Players can team up with friends or other players from around the world.
Exkee released a reveal trailer to hype up the news, which fans can watch below:

There’s no exact release date yet for Rescue Ops: Wildfire. However, we do know that it’ll be released in 2025 on PC (Steam, Xbox PC, and the Epic Games Store). Exkee plans to support the Rescue Ops name with more expansions that expand to other rescue and service careers.
In the meantime, check out other first-responder simulation games like Ambulance Life: A Paramedic Simulator and Police Simulator: Patrol Officers.
