The 2025 Esports World Cup has announced that Rainbow Six Siege will be featured in the event, marking a return for the popular shooter title.
Rainbow Six Siege has a pretty major esports scene already, with large international competitions with millions of dollars on the line. In fact, the game is shaking things up with a new esports structure in 2025.
With the announcement of Rainbow Six Siege, so far all of the games announced for the 2025 Esports World Cup are the same titles from last year. Previous announcements include Call of Duty: Warzone, DOTA 2, Free Fire, Honor of Kings, and Street Fighter 6. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was also announced, taking the place of Modern Warfare III now that the newer CoD title has been released.
The 2024 Esports World Cup featured 21 different games and next year, it looks like that roster will expand to 24. There are still 18 game announcements to come, which are being released over the next month or so on the official Esports World Cup website and social media channels. However, there is a break in announcements right around Christmas to give everyone a break.
If the trend continues, players can look forward to seeing titles like Apex Legends, Overwatch 2, Tekken 8, Rocket League, League of Legends, EA Sports FC, Fortnite, StarCraft II, Teamfight Tactics, PUBG, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang to come in the new few weeks.
