PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, mostly known as PUBG, has a growing and thriving esports economy, and it’s opened up the 2025 Global Partner Team Program, requesting applications from interested teams.

The Global Partner Team Program has been a staple for PUBG esports. It includes 10 teams, and these teams give feedback on the state of the game while playing in PUBG tournaments. They get team-branded items and direct seeds to the PUBG Global Series.

2025 will be the third year that the Global Partner Team Program is effective. Applications are open from now until January 17, 2025, at 6 am PST/3 pm UTC/4 pm CET/11 pm ICT/12 am KST.

Three key factors are looked at in these applications: Governance, Fandom, and History. Governance has to do with how financially stable the team is, as well as the long-term plans of the team. Fandom, of course, evaluates the team’s fans and the role of the team in PUBG esports. History looks at how well the team has performed in the past, including the coaches. This also takes into account the health of players and participation records. These have been the same factors every year.

From there, an internal evaluation weighs all the teams, and intensive interviews are held with potential teams. The results will be announced on February 20, 2025.

The 2025 PUBG Global Partner Team Program is looking to welcome both new and returning teams. For reference, the 2023 and 2024 Global Partner Teams are below:

  • 2023: Four Angry Men, 17Gaming, FaZe Clan, Gen.G, Natus Vincere, Petrichor Road, Soniqs, Twisted Minds
  • 2024: Four Angry Men, 17Gaming, FaZe Clan, Gen.G, Natus Vincere, Petrichor Road, Soniqs, Twisted Minds, Cerberus Esports, Daytrade Gaming
