While the upcoming test is going to focus on the mobile version, we hear from the developers at Hecate Team and Sunborn Network that a PC version is in development.

Not only that, but we also get to see it in action thanks to a dedicated video comparison.

There are many free-to-play games spanning mobile and PC that don’t really use the additional hardware juice on the latter platform, but this won’t be the case with Project NET, as you can see in the video below. The game looks very different on mobile and on PC.

We also get a second trailer, showing off multiplayer gameplay. What we see appears to be a rather straight 5v5 team deathmatch mode.

You can watch it below.

Incidentally, the upcoming test (titled “Warp Jump Test”) will happen only on Android and it’ll be limited to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

It’ll run between January 9 and January 16 and won’t involve any monetization. All progress data will be deleted after the test. If you’d like a chance to be selected you need to fill up a questionnaire.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Girls’ Frontline franchise, it debuted in 2016 with a mobile game developed by MICA Team, which was localized across the world over the next two years.

It generated multiple anime seasons and then started branching out with more video games as well, including the tactical RPG Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery, which marked the debut of the series on consoles with its Nintendo Switch release.

The sequel Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium has just been released on the global market for PC, iOS, and Android, but like its predecessor, it’s a strategy RPG.
