The game is a 3D third-person shooter for iOS and Android, and it’s going to be tested initially in Southeast Asia, specifically in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

Yet, we already know that it’ll be coming “soon” to the rest of the world. This localized initial test will be conducted between January 9 and January 16.

Those who won’t be able to test the game can at least see what it looks like thanks to the trailer below. An official website is already open but it doesn’t really show anything for now.

At the moment, the footage above is from the Technical Test and doesn’t represent the final quality, but it certainly looks interesting. We don’t have specific details on when the global version will arrive besides the “soon” mentioned above.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Girls’ Frontline franchise, it debuted in 2016 with a mobile game developed by MICA Team, which was localized across the world over the next two years.

It generated multiple anime seasons, and then started branching out with more video games as well, including the tactical RPG Reverse Collapse: Code Name Bakery, which marked the debut of the series on consoles with its Nintendo Switch release.

The sequel Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium has just been released on the global market for PC, iOS, and Android. Like it’s predecessor, it’s a strategy RPG.
