Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension DLC Dated and Detailed

Pokemon Legends Z-A Mega Dimension DLC Key Visual

The Pokémon Company has released new details about the Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension DLC, including its release date, characters, and even new Mega Pokémon coming.

The Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension DLC starts with new story content, as spatial distortions start popping up around Lumiose City. Players will meet a donut chef named Ansha who, with her Mythical Pokémon Hoopa, will help players through a new dimension called Hyperspace Lumiose.

Hyperspace Lumiose introduces new Mega Pokémon, some of which include Baxcalibur and Chimecho. The Pokémon they’ll encounter there can go beyond the traditional level 100 cap, with some in one of the trailers shown as high as level 142.

Mega Baxcalibur brings even more power with a larger sword and more ice power. To get its Mega Stone, players will need to take part in online Ranked Battles through the Z-A Battle Club during Season 4.

Mega Chimecho brings six smaller Chimechos, overlapping their cries to create a devastating sound-wave attack. It’s not clear how to get its Mega Stone yet, so it could be part of a story mission or just a simple in-game purchase at Quasartico.

Other Mega Pokémon that were shown off include Mega Raichu, in both an X and Y form. This was something that players knew was coming since the Mega Dimension DLC was first announced before Pokémon Legends: Z-A was released.

Players will also meet Successor Korrina, a friendly face that Pokémon X/Y players should remember.

The news from The Pokémon Company wasn’t just for the Mega Dimension DLC. There was also the announcement of a new side mission available in-game now, where players can get the Mythical Pokémon Diancie.

To start the quest, players will need to accept the Diancite Stone through the Mystery Gift feature, then go speak to Mimi (Emma’s partner Pokémon, Espurr) at the Looker Bureau.

Additionally, the online Ranked Battle Seasons and their rewards have been laid out for what’s more than likely the rest of the year. So far, the seasons have lasted roughly three weeks, so the following should follow that same pattern:

Those who purchase the DLC early will receive special Holowear clothing items they can wear now, as well as 3 Fast Balls, Lure Balls, Level Balls, and Heavy Balls.

The Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension DLC will be released on December 10, 2025, on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
