Japanese developer Technobrain announced an interesting airport-based puzzle game titled “Pocket and Zoom.”
The game, which can be already wishlisted on Steam puts you in the seat of ATC and lets you give instructions to aircraft to their destinations.
While the simple premise and cutesy visuals may trick you, Technobrain is actually known for its complex airport ATC simulation I am an Air Traffic Controller (from which the console version Airport Hero is also derived) so there is plenty of pedigree at work here.
The game is defined as “simple but challenging” and you have six different types of instruction that you can give to aircraft.

The game shouldn’t be too far off given the Q1 2025 release window, and it’ll be localized in English.

Incidentally, Technobrain is also known for its excellent flight simulator scenery add-on, and they’re currently working on Tokyo Haneda International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Hopefully, that’ll be done soon, because I’ve been anxiously waiting for it.
