Today, Sony announced that there would be a PlayStation State of Play tomorrow, June 4.
The June 4 State of Play will be a little over 40 minutes long, and it’ll be held at the following times:
- 2 PM PT
- 5 PM ET
- 11 PM CEST
- June 5, 6 AM JST
Fans can watch on YouTube and Twitch, where the event will be broadcast in English.
The announcement came as a bit of a surprise, as the gaming industry already has one of its biggest events of the year later this week with the Summer Games Fest. This event holds news from a wide variety of platforms and companies, so Sony’s State of Play was a surprise.
In the past few years, Sony has had State of Plays around the same time as Summer Games Fest, though they’ve never been quite so close together.
Sony has big plans for 2025. After leadership changes earlier this year at both Sony and PlayStation following large profit growths in the 2024 fiscal year, the companies are expecting an even better 2025.
To do that, there should be great news at this State of Play. According to the announcement, this State of Play will include news about games coming to the PlayStation 5 from creators around the world.
This could include announcements and news about games like Death Stranding 2, Ghost of Yotei, or even Grand Theft Auto 6.
We’ll have all the announcements and news from the June 4 State of Play as it ends tomorrow, so be sure to check back after the event.
