Paralives Delays Early Access Release

Earlier this Summer, Paralives Studio revealed that the early access PC release date for Paralives, the upcoming Sims-like life simulator, was set for December 2025. Today, the team announced that they would, unfortunately, have to delay the release until May 25, 2026.

The news came via an official post by the developers on Paralives’ Steam page, where they stated that the decision was made after receiving feedback from the multiple playtests they did. While the Paramaker and Build Modes were received positively, it became clear that not only are bugs are still impacting the Live Mode but that there was a lack of activities to do in town.

When talking about the state of the game, Lead Developer Alex Massé talked about his excitement for the finished result:

I started this project wanting it to be a fresh and indie take on the doll-house life simulation genre, which had not been tackled by many game developers. I attribute this partly to the fact that a project like Paralives is a colossal task. Life sims are really 3 games in one: an advanced and flexible build mode, a greatly customizable character creator and a complex life simulation mode.

Over the last 6 years of development, starting with 2-3 developers for the first years, to growing to an average team size of only 10 people, we had to alternate long stretches of development between these 3 parts of the game. We are so proud of what we have built, but now, we just need a bit more time to polish the simulation part of the game. This would ensure Paralives offers a great first experience when it launches, making players come back for every exciting free update and expansion that we will put out afterwards.

To account for the delay, Paralives has also updated the game’s roadmap. Lastly, they revealed that they will be streaming 45 minutes of uninterrupted live mode gameplay on their YouTube channel to show off the current state of the game, various gameplay features, and explain what will be improved before launch.

The livestream will take place on November 25, at noon EDT.

For those that may not have heard of Paralives befoer this, the game is considerably similiar to The Sims, allowing players to make characters and have them focus on their career, finding love, building a family, or becoming the richest person in town. You can build your own house, create stylish outfits, and make characters with complex and interesting personalities.

The setting is vast and open, boasting a town filled with shops, parks, restaurants, and museums, and plenty of modding tools to experiment with so you can make them all your own. For more information on this and other life sims coming in 2026, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily.
