Specifically, the extraction shooter by Embark Studios has sold over 4 million copies and is defined as “the most successful global launch in Nexon’s history.”

The game is also enjoying strong player retention (achieving over 700,000 concurrent players in the second week of operation) and drew praise from Nexon President and CEO Junghun Lee, who called it an extraordinary achievement for an all-new IP and promised fresh content through the next year.

“Nexon’s recent results include 61% year-over-year revenue growth from our MapleStory franchise in Q3 and the highly successful global launch of a new IP, ARC Raiders.

Driven by hyperlocalization, brand extensions, and a sharp improvement in Korea, the MapleStory franchise is tracking toward 40% year-over-year revenue growth and to deliver its highest annual revenue. And ARC Raiders is the most successful global launch in Nexon’s history – an extraordinary achievement for an all-new IP. Backed by a pipeline of fresh content that extends through 2026, we believe ARC Raiders® could become an enduring contributor to Nexon’s portfolio of blockbuster global franchises.”

Looking at the financial results themselves, according to the press release sent to Simulation Daily and the official documents provided by the company, revenue was 118.7 billion yen, down 12% year-on-year. The decline is due to the comparison with the release of Dungeon & Fighter Mobile in China and The First Descendant last year. It’s worth mentioning that Arc Riders’ results are not recorded yet, as it launched in Q4.

Operating income was 37.5 billion yen, down 27% year-on-year. Both results are in line with Nexon’s expectations for the quarter.

Other gaming companies have already announced their financial results this quarter, including Koei Tecmo, Electronic Arts, Capcom, Microsoft, Konami, Marvelous, Nintendo, Square Enix, Take-Two, Sega, and Sony. You can expect a few more reports on this topic in the coming days before the traditional financial results period ends.

Arc Raiders is currently available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5, following its release on October 30, 2025.
