Titled “Utawarerumono: Shiro e no Michishirube,” which translates into “Signpost to White,” the game was supposed to launch in 2025, but we now learn that it’ll release in 2026.

It was originally announced in 2024, and all we know so far is that it’s going to be a JRPG.

The reason for the delay is the usual; the decision was taken to improve the final quality of the title.

The press release also includes the usual apology to those who were eagerly awaiting the release, and gratitude for the understanding and continued patronage.,

While a teaser site is available, not much information has been provided, and we don’t know the platforms just yet. A specific release date besides the year was also never announced.

The original concept and scenario writing is done by Munemitsu Suga, who has been working on the series since the beginning. The character design is by mi, with original character design by Tatsuki Amaduyu and Misato Mitsumi, while the music is directed by Naoya Shimokawa.

The opening theme “Tsuki no Fune Miagete” (Look up to the Moon Boat) will be performed by Suara.

At the moment, we don’t know whether the recent acquisition of Aquaplus by Yuke’s had any influence on the decision to delay the game.

The announcement was made at the same time as the return of the visual novel “Jasmine,” the development of which was suspended in 2015. We haven’t heard much about that just yet either.
