The Marvel Rivals Champions (MRC) Season One ended this past weekend in every region worldwide, ringing in winners everywhere across PC and console competitions.
Each of the regional tournaments had the same format. A Swiss System kicked off the MRC Season One in every region, where the top teams moved on straight to a Double Elimination bracket leading to the Grand Final. The teams at the bottom of the rankings moved to a Closed Qualifier.
The Swiss System and Closed Qualifier were all best-of-one matches. The Double Elimination bracket switched things up, going to a best-of-three for the first nine rounds. After that, rounds 10 through 14 were best-of-five, while the Grand Final was a best-of-seven.

The MRC Season One has concluded just in time for Season Two’s release later this week. Players can check out all the balance adjustments coming with the new season here.
According to SteamDB, the game has seen a slow decline in active players throughout the last Season. However, that’s to be expected as a season draws to a close, along with the immense success the game had when it released (hitting over 10 million players in the first 72 hours). The release of Emma Frost and the rest of the Hellfire Gala is sure to bring back some players this coming Season.
