Today, Capcom revealed that Monster Hunter Wilds has hit over 10 million units sold within its first month, solidifying its place as Capcom’s fastest-selling game.

Monster Hunter Wilds debuted on February 28 with 1.3 million concurrent users on Steam, which is only one of the platforms the game is available on. In fact, the first three days alone saw 8 million sales for the game.

Now, with 10 million units sold so far, it’s nearly sold half of Monster Hunter World, which is the best-selling Monster Hunter game with 21.3 million copies sold. It also makes up almost 10% of the series sales overall, which is at 108 million units sold.

Considering Monster Hunter Wilds has only been out for a month, these are great numbers.

The 10 million units sold for Monster Hunter Wilds aren’t surprising — the game has been quite successful with its new features. Things like the Focus Mode, seamless transitions from settlements to exploration areas, and even the crossplay between consoles and PC have made the latest Monster Hunter title a hit.

Capcom is dedicated to supporting the game just as well as the previous Monster Hunter games. The first free Title Update is coming on April 4. This will include a fan-favorite monster, the Mizutsune, and a Grand Hub, a new in-game settlement. There’s also another Title Update set to release this summer.

Earlier this year, Capcom announced that it saw declining sales for the first nine months of the fiscal 2024 year. However, it had high hopes that Monster Hunter Wilds would pull things out of the hole.

Monster Hunter Wilds is available on PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
