Capcom and Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection producer Ryozo Tsujimoto revealed that a free update is coming to the latest Monster Hunter Stories title this summer, and they also let fans in on the DLC development.
To start with, the free content update will introduce more powerful versions of the monsters currently found in the world. These are dubbed Royal Monsters, and they’ll appear in the field that players will need to prepare well for.
In fact, Riders should be level 90 or higher before tackling Royal Monsters at all. Plus, they’ll want to make sure their Monsties and their abilities are fine-tuned, too.
The update doesn’t have a release date yet, but it should come this summer.
Additionally, the development of the paid DLC Additional Side Story: Rudy is going well. In fact, it’s going so well that Capcom is considering an earlier release date. As of now, it’s scheduled to release in Fall 2026.
More information about paid DLC will be discussed in the future.
