Today, Mojang provided the first details about the next Game Drop for its ultra-popular game Minecraft.
The first element included in the Game Drop is a new mob… that isn’t really new. We actually already saw it in 2021 when it lost the Mob Vote at Minecraft Live against the Allay.
Now it will be back, but while the looks are recognizable, its gameplay will be new, and fairly interesting. It’ll come with a copper chest and will pick up any item you put in it and carry it to either an empty chest or another chest with a copy of that item inside.
Of course, this is invaluable as an automated method of storage management, on top of adding activity to bases.
On top of the Copper Golem, the Game Drop will also include a new copper set of gear with tools, weapons, and armor. This is designed as a convenient early-game stepping stone between stone and armor.
While we don’t know when this Game Drop will launch officially, it’s now available in beta preview on Bedrock, while the Java Snapshot testing will come “soon.”

Minecraft is currently available on basically every platform that you can think of. The ultra-popular survival sandbox game surpassed 300 million copies sold last year and is one of the most successful games of all time.
The game just received another Game Drop, titled Chase the Skies.
The franchise has become a cultural phenomenon over the past few years, so much so that it has recently debuted on the Silver screen with a dedicated movie.
