Microsoft and Asobo Studio released World Update 22 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, focusing on the national parks and monuments of the United States.
The update, which was announced during the Xbox Game Showcase at the beginning of June, is completely free for everyone who owns MSFS 2024.
Besides the rather massive addition to the simulator’s scenery, it also comes with a free flyable airship, the famous Goodyear Blimp.
Speaking of scenery, the update includes detailed representation of the following locations:

- Badlands National Park
- Big Bend National Park
- Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park
- Bryce Canyon National Park
- Canyon de Chelly National Monument
- Canyonlands National Park
- Capitol Reef National Park
- Carlsbad Caverns National Park
- Crater Lake National Park
- Death Valley National Park
- Grand Teton National Park
- Great Basin National Park
- Great Sand Dunes National Park
- Guadalupe Mountains National Park
- Joshua Tree National Park
- Kings Canyon National Park
- Lassen Volcanic National Park
- Mesa Verde National Park
- Mount Hood National Forest
- North Cascades National Park
- Olympic National Park
- Petrified Forest National Park
- Pinnacles National Park
- Redwood National Park
- Rocky Mountain National Park
- Saguaro National Park
- Sequoia National Park
- Theodore Roosevelt National Park
- Wind Cave National Park
- Zion National Park
It also includes several points of interest, like visitor centers, lodges, lookouts, resorts, Shiprock in New Mexico, the Totem Pole in Arizona, and Delicate Arch in Utah, on top of a handcrafted reproduction of Jackson Hole Airport (KJAC).
Three guided tours include Bryce Canyon National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, and Grand Teton National Park, while we also get discovery flights for Acadia National Park, Arches National Park, Crater Lake National Park, Dry Tortugas National Park, Everglades National Park, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Olympic National Park, and Zion National Park.
