Jurassic World: Archipelago, the crossover add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 officially licensed by Universal, has just launched on the official marketplace for both Xbox and PC.

The add-on was released in September only for PC on Orbx’s own web store, but now it can be purchased directly within Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, opening the gates to Xbox users as well.

To celebrate the release, the add-on is being offered with a 20% discount, which means you’ll be able to get it at $19.00 for a limited time.

If you’re unfamiliar with Jurassic World: Archipelago, it lets you visit six iconic islands from the franchise off the coast of Costa Rica.

You’ll be able to explore Isla Nublar, Isla Matanceros, Isla Peña, Isla Sorna, Isla Muerta, and Isla Tacano, and spot dinosaurs like Apatosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Dimorphodon, Gallimimus, Mosasaurus, Pteranodon, Stegosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptor, and more.

That being said, not everything included in the add-on is fictional, as you’ll also get Juan Santamaría International Airport (MROC) serving San José, the capital of Costa Rica.

You can use it as a base to bring tourists heading for the islands on larger airliners, or to ferry them to the islands themselves.

Of course, you’ll also be able to find and explore (on foot or from the air) many iconic locations and buildings from the movies reproduced in great detail.

Completing the package are themed missions and special liveries for some of the aircraft in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

The press release also included a statement from Orbx CEO Anna Cicognani, promising a release for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 “not far off.”

“Players have been asking for Marketplace and Xbox since release, and we’re glad to make it happen. The MSFS 2020 version is also on the way, with launch not far off.”
