Today, Orbx released one of its most popular city add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Cityscape Sydney.
It’s currently available on Orbx Direct for $13.95. If you already have the MSFS 2020 version, you can upgrade to the MSFS 2024 version at no additional cost.
The capital of New South Wales (and not of all of Australia, despite what many seem to think) is completely overhauled by this add-on. It doesn’t just include landmarks like most packages of its type, but it actually replaces a whopping 28,000 buildings.
Of course, there are plenty of landmarks and skyscrapers (over 100) with full PBR materials and night lighting, on top of 250 square kilometers of custom aerial imagery, boats, water masks, and a variety of other objects and assets.
A number of “hero assets” have been reproduced with even higher detail, including the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, with quality similar to what you could expect from an airport terminal.
Port Botany has also been recreated, which is rather relevant considering how close it is to the airport.
Below you can read an official list of features.
- An entire Cityscape covering the City of Sydney
- Airport terminal-quality Hero Assets such as the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Crown Tower
- Custom PBR landmarks across the Sydney metro area
- 28,000 replacement buildings with corrected heights, footprints and building types
- 250km2 of pristine custom aerial imagery – perfectly colour balanced and hand-edited
- Photoreal coverage including CBD, eastern suburbs, inner west & airport
- Custom boats and ferries unique to Sydney
- Thousands of placed objects to bring the Harbour City to life

- Replacement watermasking for more accurate coastlines
