The video focuses on the exterior and interior 3D modeling of the aircraft, which will come in both CEO (Current Engine Option) and NEO (New Engine Option) variants and will have a total of four engine models distributed among them.

Specifically, in today’s video, we get to see the A330 CEO with the Rolls Royce Trent 700 and General Electric CF6 engines, on top of the NEO with the massive pair of Rolls-Royce Trent 7000. A third CEO version with Pratt & Whitney PW4000engines will also be included.

We get to see details like the highly-detailed decals, the cargo doors and bay, the engines, the flaps, the landing gears (including the tilting animation), and much more.

Of course, we also take a tour of the flight deck, including a glimpse of the EFB tablets. The systems will be covered in another video.

As you can see in the video below, many liveries are already done and will be included in the add-on. Incidentally, the video also shows a glimpse at the new Frankfurt International Airport, which is also in the works at Aerosoft.

This aircraft has been in the works for a very long time. The original announcement and the first images of the untextured models were showcased all the way back in 2021.

In January this year, the developer announced that the release would be delayed, targeting Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (albeit it should still be compatible with the 2020 version of MSFS). It’s worth mentioning that the video shows the aircraft in the current sim, as Microsoft isn’t really showing the new one publicly just yet.

At the moment, we still don’t have a release date for this, but we do know that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will release on November 19, 2024, for PC and Xbox Series X|S.

It’s worth mentioning that this is a completely distinct product compared to the Airbus A330 that will be included by default in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and it’ll be sold separately.

If you’d like to get into flight simulation in time for MSFS 2024 but are intimidated by the apparent complexity of the hobby, you can read our introductory guide, alongside the second episode focusing on installing add-ons, and another showcasing the basic instruments.
