Memoriapolis Showcases How Its Strategy Gameplay Will Span Across History

Today, 5PM Studio released a new gameplay trailer for its highly anticipated historical indie city builder, Memoriapolis.

Memoriapolis is an upcoming strategy title that focuses on historical recreation and societal evolution. You’ll be tasked with building and then guiding your city through four different eras: Antiquity, Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Enlightenment.

Each new era presents unique advancements and social dilemmas, and it’s up to you to solve them and move forward to the next step in the cycle. You can take a peek at some of the challenges you’ll need to overcome to grow your dynasty in the trailer below:

While playing Memoriapolis, players will encounter a variety of architectural styles and urban landscapes, with each age focusing on distinct buildings, cultures, and environments relevant to its time period. Growth will also occur organically, as resources and technology will continue to grow over time.

As you progress, these resources will grow more difficult to manage, especially as factions and rival dynasties seek to challenge your rule thanks to the game’s vicious political and economic systems. Choose production sites carefully, build them thoughtfully, and manage foreign trade relations accordingly, and you may just keep your citizens content enough that they don’t overthrow you.

Memoriapolis will launch version 1.0 on April 30, 2025, exclusively on PC via Steam. It is currently available in the early access portion of development for $24.99. For more information on this and other city-building titles, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily for more updates.
