To kick things off, Gambit will be joining the Hero lineup with the start of Season 5, which is November 14, 2025. He’ll be a Strategist who can use his cards to heal allies and deal damage. At the same time, he’ll cleanse any debuffs from allies and apply anti-heal to enemies.

Additionally, he can use his staff to deal damage to any enemies. His ultimate will buff allies, giving them supercharged jump abilities and making their attacks explosive. Rogue should be joining him later on in the season, as well.

A new mode is also coming with Season 5 that pits 36 players against each other. The 18 versus 18 conquest mode will take place on the new Grand Garden Map, which will be released on November 27, 2025.

Times Square is also coming as a new map in Season 5, and it’ll be a non-combat area where 100 players can just hang out.

Marvel Rivals Season 5 will cover the game’s first anniversary. The exciting milestone will kick off on November 27, 2025. Players can log in and receive 2,500 Units and a free Legendary Jeff costume.

There will also be exclusive Anniversary costumes, spanning characters like Magik, Blade, Luna Snow, Venom, and Psylocke.

Other changes include the following:

  • New Competitive Placement System
  • Cross-Progression (after successful testing in Season 4.5)
  • New Accessories (Gambit, Human Torch, Magik, Mantis, Wolverine, Phoenix, Thor, Loki, Moon Knight, and Star-Lord)

The Dev Vision also explained that developers are investing more time on PvE content after the success of Marvel Rivals’ first-ever PvE Zombies mode.

Of course, as with all Marvel Rivals game updates, there will be balance adjustments and changes to Team-Ups and characters. Players can see more about what changes are coming on November 14, as well as the idea for balancing in the future, in the full Dev Vision below:

Additionally, the trailer for the Season 5 battle pass was also released. Players can find it below:
