The newest Life Below trailer shows off some of the threats that players will encounter underwater, like heatwaves and oil spills. Players will have to restore the damage these cause to coral reefs.

Once they’re thriving, players can customize them and upgrade them. Wildlife will also join in the fun.

Speaking of wildlife, there’s also a new look at the Wildlife View. This point-of-view lets players follow sea creatures across biomes, letting players see the effect their restoration has on the natural world.

Players can watch the new Life Below trailer below, getting a feel for the UI and some of the features it’ll have when it’s released:

Unlike other city building sims, Life Below focuses on building up underwater ecosystems instead of thriving industrious cities. One of the things that players will have to focus on is increasing the biodiversity of an area while evolving their ecosystems to be able to adapt to shifting tides.

Life Below was recently names a Unity Awards 2025 winner, recognizing its creativity, engagement, and technical achievements in the industry. It won top honors in the Social Impact category.

Life Below is set to release in 2026 on PC. Players can check out a demo of the game on Steam until December 17, 2025.
