It’s that time of the year again — the 2025 Season 1 League of Legends cinematic has been released, hyping up the first season of the year, focusing on the realm of Noxus as the MOBA enters its next era.
Last year, Riot announced that League of Legends seasons would explore different regions starting with Noxus. This came right as Arcane ended, along with announcements that other League-based shows would come, including one in Noxus.
The cinematic was the first look at what the Noxus season will cover, including several Champions and a hint at the story. LeBlanc and Vladimir are controlling a lot of the story, including what happened in Arcane, too. Mel’s seen arriving to shore, and considering she’s been confirmed to be the next League of Legends character, her appearance makes sense.
Darius and Trundle pop up fighting each other in the beginning, though neither of their current lore doesn’t make sense for why they’d be fighting. We also see Katarina and Evelyn. Other characters that will likely pop up include Swain and Draven (who’s Darius’ brother).
Trundle is from the Freiljord, which makes him an interesting character to show off in a Noxus-themed trailer. However, the two regions fighting wouldn’t be out of the question, just something currently unexplored.
