Today, PQube, Secret Level Studios, and Twin Hearts have announced a closed beta for Kitaria Fables 2, giving PC players their first opportunity to experience the upcoming adventure before its full release.
The closed beta will run from September 7 to September 21, 2026 on PC via Steam, and applications are open now, with registration closing on September 4, 2026. Selected participants will receive access to a special build covering more than half of the game’s story, with player feedback being used to help polish the experience ahead of launch.
Alongside the beta announcement, the developers released a new story showcase, offering a first look at the adventure awaiting players across the Arkadera Peninsula.

Kitaria Fables 2 follows Royal Army Pathfinder Alice Skylar and local guide Dusty Tuftkin, who join an expedition tasked with reopening Whitewall Town’s abandoned errand house and restoring the region’s forgotten outposts. Their journey takes them through forests, marshes, highlands, and snowy mountains, where rumors of a mysterious figure begin to emerge.
Players can develop both heroes through unique skill trees, combining sword attacks, special abilities, elemental spells, and powerful ultimate techniques. Exploration also provides materials to craft equipment, brew potions, and prepare food.
The adventure extends beyond combat, with side quests, settlements to discover, and a farmstead to restore, where you’ll grow crops, expand their facilities, and earn profits through farming. Co-op support allows two players to experience the full story together through local or online multiplayer, with both Alice and Dusty fighting side by side.
Kitaria Fables 2 is scheduled to launch digitally in Spring 2027 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. For more information on this and other upcoming indie titles, be sure to check back to Simulation Daily.
