JDM: Japanese Drift Master Update 1.7 Expands Car Setup, Customization, & More

Today, Gaming Factory gave a good look at what players can expect from the new JDM: Japanese Drift Master 1.7 update, which officially went live a bit earlier this afternoon.

JDM: Japanese Drift Master update 1.7 is set to be a significant expansion, introducing additional Car Setup changes, expanding customization options, and even adding a new car and tracks. New Side Story content is also coming to the campaign, allowing players to follow the story of Tiger.

For Car Setup changes, players will now be able to make adjustments to the front and rear tires separately, including changing rim diameter, width, and offset options, tire profile (low, medium, and high), spacers, and rim lip type. These changes are purely cosmetic and are only available for certain wheels.

The newest car coming to the simulator is none other than the Nissan GTR R35 EBA, featuring 566 horsepower and 467 lb-ft (652Nm) of torque, and six bodykits available to unlock. You’ll be able to test it out on two new tracks: The Hakome Stadium and The Takekaze Tōge.

Alongside gameplay content, new story missions are coming to the campaign, this time revolving around Tiger, whose humble beginnings lead to a true legend being born, followed by a heartbreaking tragedy. There are nine completely new events, featuring 11 races, which can be accessed after completing Chapter 2 Mission 1.

Last but not least, Gaming Factory also announced JDM: Made in USA. This DLC is set to feature six completely new cars, all based on US models, and will be released in November 2025 for $5.99.

JDM: Japanese Drift Master is currently available on Steam for $24.99, featuring a nice 30% discount to celebrate the Steam Autumn Sale 2025. For more information on this and other racing simulators like iRacing, Project Motor Racing, and more.
