Today, Gaming Factory is getting fans ready for the release of its highly anticipated racing sim, JDM: Japanese Drift Master, by giving a sneak peek into the game’s tuning and modification aspects.
Regardless of whether you’re going on a stroll or taking on other racers, JDM: Japanese Drift Master places a significant focus on realism. As such, you’ll be able to customize your car to your liking by altering performance stats and adding in parts.
While it can seem overwhelming due to just how many things you can change, the video below gives a bit of a breakdown on how to get started:
If you want to focus on driving performance, then horsepower and torque should be your main focus. While you may lose some speed due to heavy friction, the engine still follows the rule of “the stronger, the better.”
If you’re looking for a bit more stability in your drifts, then it is best to lower the suspension, though the opposite is true too. The stiffer you go, the more of a grounded sensation you’ll be able to get while limiting the tilting and rocking of your vehicle.

Angle kits, wheel alignment, and tilt adjustments are also key to controlling drifts, so you’ll need to experiment a little bit to see which one fits your car best. There’s an endless amount of unique ways to modify vehicles’ handling, suspension height, wheels, and alignment, some of which are detailed in the official Steam post here.
JDM: Japanese Drift Master will be available exclusively on Steam when it is released for PC on May 21, 2025.
