Today, it was revealed that JDM: Japanese Drift Master signed a licensing deal with Mazda in order to make the game an even more authentic racing experience. the news came by way of a blog post from developer Gaming Factory earlier today, in which they detailed what is going into the deal while also showing off a trailer showing fans what they can expect.

As you can see in the video below, you’ll now be able to drive through Guntama’s roads using your favorite Mazda vehicles, as Gaming Factory has scanned every last detail, from headlights to spoilers.

In other Japanese Drift Master news, it was also revealed earlier this month that the game’s prologue, JDM: Rise of the Scorpion, would be arriving on August 8, 2024. This free DLC is set to introduce fans to the game’s world, giving you a taste of what is to come. You can check out the official trailer and gameplay synopsis below:

  • Open world exploration – Get into the atmosphere of small towns in Japan with traffic, dynamic day and night cycles, and weather system. Kilometers of different roads inspired by real and well-known locations await you – explore the touristy areas of Lake Haikama, test your skills on the downhill slopes of mountain passes, or fly sideways through a heavily urbanized part of the city.
  • Customization – The world of JDM would not be complete without a paint shop, where you can personalize your car in a truly Japanese style. Visit the tuner shop to uncover the hidden potential of the cars you got through a car dealer.
  • Drifting – No matter what your favorite steering device is – gamepad, steering wheel, or keyboard – the realistic driving physics will provide nothing but pure pleasure.
  • Story – Play through a story about a foreigner who wants to make a name for himself on the Japanese drifting scene. Slide right into the world of speed and precision, where you’ll earn respect by competing for the title of best hashiriya behind the wheel.
  • Feel the whirr of the engine – Original recordings of real car sounds, implemented thanks to our unique technology. With their help, you will feel like behind the wheel of a real car.

Be sure to check back for more info upon the full release. You can also check out all the simulation and gaming news we’ve got for you, including a look at Microsoft Flight Simulator’s SR-71 Blackbird and Valorant’s upcoming console releases.
