JDM: Japanese Drift Master has earned quite a lot of visibility among Steam’s upcoming games, and its developers at Gaming Factory are showing more.

First of all, we get a look at the Mazda cars that will appear in the drifting simulator, specifically the Mazda MX-5 (NA) from 1990, the Mazda RX-8 from 2005, and the Mazda RX-7 FD from 1999.

According to the developers, these are not the only Mazda cars that we’ll get our hands on and additional models are being worked on, but the rest of the lineup won’t be spoiled.

Each model has been 3D scanned to look just like its real-world counterpart, and the visuals are certainly one of the game’s more compelling aspects, both in terms of fidelity and art style.

The second video showcases some drifting on a circuit, alongside a comparison with what the game used to look like earlier in its development. The difference is certainly quite visible.

You can watch both below and take a good look at what JDM: Japanese Drift Master has to offer. Of course, there’ll be plenty more cars besides Mazda’s to ride, including Nissan.

JDM: Japanese Drift Master will be available for PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG on March 26, 2025.

If you’d like to see more check out what its developers achieved in 2024, on top of the opening cutscene and song, which will certainly remind you of the glorious scenes of Initial D.

This game simply couldn’t be more weeb, and I’m saying it as a compliment.
