Today, Gaming Factory gave a sneak peek at what they’ll be adding alongside the next update for JDM: Japanese Drift Master, a racing simulator based in the fictional Japanese prefecture of Guntama.
As a part of the next free patch, JDM: Japanese Drift Master will be adding the full story campaign of Rise of the Scorpio. Anyone who played the demo for the game when it released back in August 2024 has likely already experienced part of the story, which centers around Hatori “Scorpion” Hasashi.
Since then, the demo has been removed, as significant changes have been made to the game’s engine. Not only is all the content coming back for Rise of the Scorpion, but it is also getting a complete storyline.
To access Rise of Scorpion, you’ll need to complete Chapter 01, Mission 05. When you do, a new ‘scorpion’ marker will appear on your minimap. Drive there and interact with it, and the Side Story will begin.
As with the main campaign, completing one event will spawn the next mission and so on until you complete the whole subplot. The plot will further develop Touma’s biggest rivalry while also introducing plenty of fun new events and challenges.
Anyone who completes the storyline will get the Scorpion’s heavily tuned Nissan Z33, livery included. A list of the full patch notes coming in next week’s update will also be published on Steam.
JDM: Japanese Drift Master is currently available on Steam for $34.99. For more information on this, upcoming updates, and other racing simulators like iRacing, Project Motor Racing, and more.
