Krafton has revealed a new in-depth look at the upcoming inZOI DLC, Island Getaway, discussing some of the new features coming with the DLC as inZOI progresses in Early Access, along with more details about Cahaya, the new map, and a Q&A session with developers.
Of course, inZOI is constantly improving and updating, as the sim is still in Early Access. The Island Getaway DLC will include several such improvements, including the following:
- Better Interactions, Shading and Light Rendering, and Zoi Thoughts/Feelings
- Revamped Relationship System and Conversations
- New Romance Features and Statuses
- 25 New City Locations, like Clubs, Stores, and More
- More Traveling Options, like Motorcycles and Scooters
- New Group Activities, like Preparing Family Meals and Playing Chess Together
Those changes were made to specifically address problems that the community raised. Many of them were decided on in order to make the cities in inZOI feel more dynamic and interactive.
From there, inZOI’s developer spoke about heading for a vacation to Cahaya, the map that’s coming with the Island Getaway DLC. Ironically, lead developer Kjun mentioned previously that Cahaya came about because he wanted a retreat from the intense development work the team has been putting in inZOI.
To show off some of the new systems coming with Cahaya, viewers watched a Zoi who worked as a developer decide to switch up his life. After taking an airport bus to Cahaya, he took a loan out through his phone to build a home.
From there, he did various activities to make money for said loan and other living expenses. Cahaya offers several ways for players to sustain themselves and sell goods at a market, which includes attracting customers with fun dances.
After a few accidents (and insurance payouts), he travels to a resort island in the distance. There, new features like boat riding, fishing, snorkeling, gambling, and more were shown off. There are also plans to expand these systems — for example, snorkeling is a fixed activity, but will hopefully become something players can freely do.
After trying to escape his disastrous loan, the Zoi swims to an abandoned island to begin his life anew.
From there, a quick reel of new features was shown off, including the following:
- Natural Disasters (heatwave, duststorm)
- New Information Displayed On-Screen
- Zois React to Environments Better
- Family Collection System
- Financial Management
- New Customization Assets
The inside look at the inZOI Insland Getaway DLC and Cahaya ended with a Q&A, where Kjun answered a few questions about Cahaya and what’s included. Players can watch the entire stream below:
The Island Getaway DLC for inZOI will be released on August 20, 2025, on PC. It will be free for all players who have purchased inZOI while it’s in Early Access. PlayStation 5 players will also get access to inZOI in the future, along with Mac users.
