Infold Games has issued an apology following community backlash over the prices and contents of the in-game furniture pieces for the brand-new (and highly anticipated) Home system in Infinity Nikki.

Yesterday, Infold Games revealed a pricing guide for furniture that would be released with the new Home system in Infinity Nikki. For a bit of context, here are the bundles as they were and their in-game costs (along with what they’d actually cost to buy the paid currency):

  • Stellar Poems Pack (1,480 Diamonds, need $29.99 Stellarite pack): 38 single-use items
  • Leisure Tea Brewing Set 1 (680 Stellaries, need $14.99 Stellarite pack): 14 single-use items
  • Leisure Tea Brewing Set 2 (420 Stellarites, need $14.99 Stellarite pack): 11 single-use items
  • Leisure Tea Brewing Set 3 (180 Stellarites, need $4.99 Stellarite pack): 8 single-use items

The prices themselves are roughly the same as other in-game clothing packs that Infinity Nikki offers. However, the biggest problem that fans had was the fact that the furniture items are single-use only.

To get more of the same furniture that a player has already bought, they’d need to buy it again. And, unfortunately, those packs are only available once. Considering all of the packs are roughly 50% off the price of the individual furniture pieces, that doubles the price of any additional furniture from a set that players want.

This type of pricing and usage system wasn’t what players were expecting, and the community was quick to let Infold know.

The same day, yesterday, Infold Games issued its apology, removing the packs from the 1.9 update and re-evaluating the pricing system. The packs will also include sketches for the items included when they are released. Additionally, more furniture pieces and their sketches will be included in the Home ability upgrades.

The Home system will be launched later today with Infinity Nikki Version 1.9. While furniture packs aren’t available to buy currently, there are over 999 free pieces of furniture that players can get by traveling to the new Home island for the first time. There are also several free outfits included in Version 1.9.

Infinity Nikki saw massive success quickly after it was released, and it’s available on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android.
