HoYoverse has held its Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.2 Special Program, which is also the patch that’s celebrating the third anniversary of the popular game.
To start with, Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.2 will add Silver Wolf LV.999 and Evanescia to the playable roster.
Silver Wolf LV.999 is a five-star Imaginary Elation character. She’s an Emanator of Elation, and she can use a game cartridge to tune into her Godmode powers. More information on her backstory and lore will be revealed in future trailers, including an upcoming animated short.
In the game, Silver Wolf LV.99 deals damage when the team accumulates Punchline. She can deal massive amounts of damage to multiple enemies at once, regain Skill Points for her teammates, and share items with her team when they use Skill Points. During the Aha Instant, Silver Wolf LV.999 will deal bounce damage to all enemies.
Outside of combat, she has a global passive ability that lets her hack into battle and make the players’ team immune to crowd control after they’ve been hit.
Evanescia is a five-star Physical Elation character. In battle, she summons a Master Fox assistant that can deal massive AoE damage to enemies. Her Energy is tied to the Certified Banger status of her teammates, and when it hits a certain point, her Master Fox will automatically deal damage to all enemies.
When using her technique, she’ll deal damage to all enemies and also build up Energy.
The Trailblazer is also getting their Path of Elation variant, which is Lightning. The Trailblazer will use two Light Sticks that can also combine into nunchucks and a lightsaber. The Trailblazer can support teammates, build up Certified Banger, and deal AoE damage.
Additionally, Firefly, Huohuyo, Selle, and Welt are getting Novaflare buffs. Firefly will be able to stay in Sam’s state for longer, Huohuo can now heal more teammates and heal more, Seele has a new skill that will automatically attack enemies, and Welt’s Ultimate now reduces enemy defense and increases allies’ attack.
More information about the Novaflare buffs will be available in the future.
Phase One of Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.2 will feature Silver Wolf LV.999, Dahlia, Castorice, and Firefly. Phase 2 will feature Evanescia, Tribbie, Sunday, and Feixiao.
Currency Wars is getting an update, going up to Level 140 and adding some of the Planarcadia characters to the roster, along with an Elation bond. There are also other changes, Investment Strategies, and more with the update.

Cosmicon Collective is also getting another event in Version 4.2 with a new two-player mode. Two players will go up against bosses while trading dice. There are also new characters and strategies to choose from, along with PvE and PvP content.
The Express is also getting a new makeover, where they’ll be able to invite other players to their Express Car. Up to four players can hang out together, and they can all bring their pets.
The Trailblazer is also getting some new changes with a photo memory wall, more places to add decor, and even a Cat tree for Cake Cats (who can also be stacked adorably and have their own interactions). Cake Cats can be encountered around the map.
The Relic Chest event is also returning, giving players a way to farm relics for one character by doing quests. Relic loadouts will also be added.
Pom-Pom is also helping in new ways, giving Trailblazers recommendations on Relics, team builds, and more.
To celebrate the third anniversary of Honkai: Star Rail, there are quite a few rewards and announcements.
An anniversary event will see the Trailblazer become a pro streamer. Through this, they’ll go through their adventures through their combat, making teams while responding to viewers. They’ll also be able to tune into their friends from around the galaxy in special lives.
As for rewards and in-game celebrations, players can look forward to the following:
- 20 Star Rail Special Passes
- 1,600 Stellar Jades and 10 Fuel, plus a companion
- Triple Rewards with Planar Fissure,
- Annual Report Event with rewards, including Stellar Jades
- Huohuo and Robin added to the Stellar Convergence Store, along with a free Golden Spirit
- Yunli, Argenti, and Silver Wolf added to the Celestial Invitation and Non-Featured five-star Character Event Warp
- Stardust Store is getting new additions, with a new outfit for Pom-Pom and accessories for the Trailblazer
- New Castorice outfit
- Top-up Event, along with a reset for the Double Bonus in Oneiric Shards Packages
The Star Rail World Tour 2026 is also kicking off soon. More information about that will be revealed in the future. There will also be a Third Anniversary live event and a collaboration with Round1 Bowling and Arcade. The Honkai: Star Rail Creator Competition is kicking off soon, too.
Phantasmoon New Game is also kicking off, an event game on the official Honkai: Star Rail website. Players can earn 800 Stellar Jades by participating, starting on April 23. Plus, on May 3, the Honkai: Star Rail 2026 Online Concert will be livestreamed.
Players can log in and get 1,090 Stellar Jades and other online rewards, along with entering to earn real-life rewards, including a Silver Wolf LV.999 car.
Last but not least, an animated series was revealed in collaboration with MAPPA.
