As usual, the competition was divided between the Manufacturers Cup on Saturday and the Nations Cup on Sunday, assigning the first points for both championships.

The Nations Cup saw the victory of Jose Serrano from Spain, followed by Pol Urra, also from Spain. The lowest step of the podium was taken by Valerio Gallo from Italy.

The final was quite spectacular, with Serrano and Urra going head-to-head almost all the way to the finish, in a race that was not decided until the last few turns.

Interestingly, Serrano and Urra also ended up first and second last year at the Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup.

You can watch the final race in the on-demand recording of the livestream below.

Below you can find the final results and the provisional points ranking, which, of course, reflects the results of the first round.

The Manufacturers Cup saw an all-Japanese group of racers representing various top auto brands, and saw last year’s Nations Cup champion, Takuma Miyazono, take the top spot on the podium, representing Subaru.

Seiya Suzuki ended the race second, representing BMW, while the third place on the ranking was taken by Ryota Koubun, representing Mazda.

Below you can watch the final, recorded from the livestream.

You can also check out the final results of the race, alongside the point ranking after round 1.

The next round will be in Berlin on September 20, while Round 3 will happen in Los Angeles on November 8.

The World Finals will return to Japan this year, but won’t be in Tokyo. The event will be hosted in Kyushu’s biggest city Fukuoka, between December 20 and December 21.

Gran Turismo 7 is currently available for PS5 and PS4. Polyphony Digital has been updating it regularly since its launch in March 2022, and the latest update came in May 2025, including four new cars.

Just yesterday, we saw the announcement of a collaboration with Chinese brand Xiaomi, which will bring the sports EV SU7 Ultra and a Xiaomi Vision GT to the game.
