Today, Gran Turismo 7 Producer Kazunori Yamauchi provided the traditional tease of the upcoming update for the game.
As usual, we get to see via X (formerly Twitter) obscured versions of the cars coming with the update, and it’s going to be three.
Specifically, one is going to be the Hyundai Elantra N TCR announced during the finals of the Nations Cup. Back then, Hyundai N president Joon Park mentioned that it would come as “DLC,” but that was likely just an innocent mistake.
Another of the obscured cars appears to be the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, announced a while ago. Back then, the presenter mentioned that they were “very, very excited about it.” Our taste in cars definitely differs, but oh well.
As far as I know, the third car has not been identified for sure, but the wait won’t be long, as the patch is coming next week.
Of course, you can expect us to report its exact content when it launches. Usually, it happens early in the week, so it’s just a few days away.
Gran Turismo 7 is currently available for PS5 and PS4. Polyphony Digital has been updating it regularly since its launch in March 2022. It remains one of Sony’s few first-party games that has not received a PC port years after its release.
Last month, we saw the release of the Spec III update alongside the Power Pack DLC.
The finals of the Gran Turismo World Series 2025 have also been hosted, seeing the victory of Team Porsche for the Manufacturers Cup and Jose Serrano for the Nations Cup.
