Gran Turismo 7 August Update Adds New Cars Including Chevrolet Corvette Concept Hypercars

Polyphony Digital and Sony Interactive Entertainment are about to release the August Update for the racing simulator Gran Turismo 7.

The update, teased last week as usual, is expected to go live in a few hours, at 11:00 p.m. PDT on August 27.

It’ll include, among other things, the Chevrolet Corvette concept hypercars revealed a few weeks ago.

Specifically, the update includes the AFEELA 1 ’26 (likely the winner of the trophy for the most pointless car in the universe), the Chevrolet Corvette CX Concept ’25, the Chevrolet Corvette CX.R Vision Gran Turismo Concept, and the Renault Avantime 3.0 V6 24V ’02.

We’re also getting an extra menu added to the café, celebrating “Japanese Racing Pioneers.” On top of that, three World Circuit events are added in the update.

Lastly, a Scapes curation dedicated to Tokyo Bay is also included among the new features. You can watch a trailer below.

Gran Turismo 7 is currently available for PS5 and PS4. Polyphony Digital has been updating it regularly since its launch in March 2022.

The game has been updated very actively since its release, and the previous update came in July. In terms of cars, it included a rather strange trio: the Honda N-One RS ’22, the Nismo R34 GT-R Z-tune ’05, and the Nissan Qashwai Tekna 190 2wd e-Power ’22.

Recently, Polyphony Digital also announced a collaboration with Xiaomi for the introduction in the sim of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra sports electric vehicle and a Xiaomi Vision GT. For better or for worse, these have not been implemented in the simulator just yet.
