Code Horizon revealed new footage of Gold Mining Simulator 2, showcasing an engine upgrade from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5.
The upgrade includes quite a few improvements from previous reveals, including, obviously, a new and much better level of graphics fidelity for Alaska’s wilderness.
Falcon Creek has become a bustling and living mining hub, as opposed to the previous abandoned town.
The system governing vehicles has also been overhauled, while digging has been modified to feel more responsive and satisfying. Machines are also more detailed in their models and textures.
The UI has also gotten its own overhaul to be cleaner and more customizable, while the world is now more lively with NPCs.
