Today, Sony released a video of different landscapes in Ghost of Yōtei, titled “Journey Through The Edge Of Japan,” giving fans a look at the gorgeous scenery of the game.
There’s a wide range of scenery around Ezo, the land where Ghost of Yōtei takes place. It starts off with wheat fields with a sprawling mountain range behind them before transitioning to roaring waterfalls.
Cliffsides come next, followed by forests and lakes. The rest of the video also includes caverns, fields of flowers, shrines, and other sights.
The scenes cover every season, showing frigid winters and ice-covered lakes to blooming flowers and vivid natural colors.
Not only that, but the nearly 10-minute video features music from the game’s original soundtrack, which is composed by Toma Otowa. The music is an extended version of “The North.” It sets the tone for both the game and the world it encompasses well, giving players a tease of what’s coming when Ghost of Yōtei is released.
Fans can see the Ghost of Yōtei landscapes for themselves in the video below:
Ghost of Yōtei is set to release on October 2, 2025, on PlayStation 5. There may be a PC release in its future (as Sony games typically do, including the first game in the series, Ghost of Tsushima), though there’s no news on that yet.
