HoYoverse has revealed the Genshin Impact Version Luna 4 Special Program, introducing players to the plethora of content coming with it, including highly-requested Traveler skins, details about the 2026 Lantern Rite event, the long-awaited Colombina kit reveal, and even more.
With Genshin Impact Version Luna 4, players will be going after Il Dottore, who will become a weekly boss who can manipulate time and space. During the two Archon Quests that are coming with Version Luna 4, players will also learn more about both Lumine and Aether, along with their origins beyond Teyvat.
The new revelations come with new outfits for Lumine and Aether, something the community has been waiting years for. These take the color palettes of each sibling and switch them, giving Lumine a gold and white outfit while Aether gets more blue.
These outfits will be available for free after completing the Version Luna 4 Archon Quests. When unlocking the outfits, players will also evolve the Traveler’s elemental power, essentially buffing the various versions of the Traveler.

The main event for Genshin Impact Version Luna 4 is the Lantern Rite. The Liyue festival is one of the biggest events the game has every year, and it comes with big rewards – including 1,600x Primogems, 10x Intertwined Fates, a free outfit for Yaoyao, a free four-star Liyue character of the player’s choice, and plenty more.
This year, the Lantern Rite story will focus on Zhanzhu the Moon-Devourer and the White Horse Adeptus, Zibai, who used to live on the moon. As the moon is in peril (thanks to Dottore and the events in Nod-Krai), the reclusive Zibai steps in to help.
The 2026 Lantern Rite will also be a permanent event, like the events during Version 5.8.

Of course, Genshin Impact Version Luna 4 is also bringing new playable characters, including one of the most highly anticipated characters, the Moon Maiden Colombina Hyposelenia, and the White Horse Adeptus Zibai.
Colombina is a five-star Hydro Catalyst user who focuses on buffing Lunar reactions. She can trigger Lunar Reaction damage from off-field while also giving special effects and buffs to each reaction.
Her Lunar Domain can cause more thunderstrike procs for Lunar-Charged, introduce more blooms for Lunar-Bloom, and increase the number of Moondrift attacks for Lunar-Crystallize (more on that below). She can also proc Lunar Reactions on her own, which lets her convert Electro-Charged, Bloom, and Hydro Crystallize reactions to Lunar Reactions.
Zibia is a five-star Geo sword user who can enter a special state to build up energy and deal massive Lunar-Crystallize damage. As more Lunar-Crystallize reactions are generated, Zibai can use this skill more often and it deals more damage.
Additionally, the four-star Geo polearm user Illuga will also join the lineup. Illuga is a Ratniki who can also buff and trigger Lunar-Crystallize reactions.
All three of the new characters coming have mentions of Lunar-Crystallize, the newest Lunar reaction. This reaction occurs when Geo and Hydro react, summoning three Moondrifts near enemies. When it’s been triggered three times, the Moondrifts deal Geo damage to nearby enemies. This damage has the potential to land critical hits, as well.
The first phase of Genshin Impact Version Luna 4 will feature Colombina and Ineffa, while the second phase will have banners for Zibai and Neuvillette with Illuga as a featured four-star. Neuvillette is also getting a new outfit, which will be available at a discounted price for Version Luna 4.

That’s not all that’s coming with Genshin Impact Version Luna 4, either. A map expansion will take players to the Northern parts of Nod-Krai, revealing the headquarters of the Ratniki in Piramida. This comes with special exploration quests that go deeper into how the Ratniki function.
Miliastra Wonderland is also getting a new Classic Mode, where players can invite different characters in Teyvat to use on adventures. It’s also getting new outfit banners.
Quality-of-life features are also part of the update, including a new way to track and see quests (while also revisiting some of the older cutscenes).
