According to the documents provided by the company, it recorded $1.22 billion in Net Bookings, which is in line with its previously announced guidance. It’s also up 1% year-on-year.

On top of that, we learn that Net Bookings from recurrent consumer spending (IE: microtransactions, DLC, and subscriptions) were flat year-on-year and accounted for 83% of total Net Bookings.

Net revenue was $1.34 billion up 4% year-on-year. Recurrent consumer spending was 82% of total net revenue and up 3% year-on-year.

Lastly, the company announced a net loss of $262.0 million, compared to $206.0 million in the same period last year.,

As usual, we hear a comment from CEO Strauss Zelnick, who defined the results as “solid.”

“We achieved solid first quarter results by engaging our players with exciting new game releases and content updates, while also maintaining our focus on efficiency. Our management team remains confident in our path forward and we are reiterating our Net Bookings outlook for the year of $5.55 to $5.65 billion.

We are highly optimistic about our future — our core franchises remain vibrant, our teams are hard at work on the most ambitious development pipeline in our history, and we are evaluating continually new growth opportunities that have the ability to enhance our business model and financial profile. As we pursue our strategic priorities, we expect to achieve sequential increases in Net Bookings in Fiscal 2026 and 2027, which we believe will drive long-term shareholder value.”

As is tradition, Take-Two shared the total lifetime sales of its most successful games, with Grand Theft Auto V having passed the crazy milestone of over 200 million copies shipped. The game has passed $1 billion in retail sales faster than any entertainment release in history.

The Grand Theft Auto franchise has now shipped over 430 million units. Grand Theft Auto VI is still coming in the fall of the calendar year 2025.

That being said, Grand Theft Auto Online’s revenue was down year-on-year.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has now passed 65 million units shipped. The RDR franchise as a whole has passed 91 million units.

Below you can find a breakdown of the games in development at Take-Two, which the publisher calls the “strongest pipeline in history.”
