HoYoverse has released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming region in Genshin Impact, Nod-Krai, and it shows a first look at 11 of the characters seen in the region, including some that players have waited over five years for.
From the start, players get a glimpse of Varka, which is fitting considering he’s been a character players first heard about at the very beginning of their journey in Teyvat. For some, that’s been since the game launched. Despite being the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius in Monstadt, he’s never actually been in the game yet.
Next up, players see Aino, who was recently spotted in the 5.8 trailer with ties to Ineffa. Speaking of Ineffa, she’s also seen in the trailer alongside Jahoda, who’s a new character, and Durin. Durin was also introduced to Genshin Impact’s story very early on, as he was the dragon that Dvalin fought and that Venti talks about from the beginning.
Kyryll Chudomirovich Flins is shown next, along with Sandrone, who’s also a Fatui Harbinger who goes by the codename Marionette. Players also get to see more of Lauma before meeting Nefer.
Things take a turn as Nicole Reeyn is introduced next, or as most players know her, N of the Hexenzirkel. Alice from the Hexenzirkel is also revealed, another character from very early on in Genshin Impact’s story that players have waited years to see.
The teaser also shows off Columbina, another Fatui Harbinger that players have waited quite some time for. However, it’s worth noting that the official Genshin Impact accounts no longer attach her to the Fatui Harbingers. Instead, she’s called the Moon Maiden.
There are a few possibilities for this. One is that the trailer talks about the past and the potential for traveling to it, so it could be that players will see Columbina before she joins the Harbingers. Or, it could be that she’s defected.
The teaser trailer is mostly about the upcoming characters, though there is a bit of story to be gleaned from it.
For instance, Alice travels with Albedo and the Wanderer, who mentions he has business in Nod-Krai. There are different directions this could go, but given the Wanderer’s past as a Fatui Harbinger and the abundance of Harbingers in the area, revenge could be in order.

Genshin Impact’s official X account also shared images of each of the characters, which players can see below:

All of these characters should eventually be playable throughout Nod-Krai.
