Gamescom 2025 Sets New Early Bird Record for Exhibitor Registrations

Interest in Gamescom 2025 is at an all-time high, as the early bird registration for exhibitors has already broken records.

According to Koelnmesse, the organizers behind the event, the registration rate for Gamescom 2025 is already up 27 percent from last year, coming from several big companies across 46 different counties. Last year, new and higher standards were set in terms of exhibitors, internationality, and worldwide reach, which is where they attribute their growth and success.

Even though the significant increase in registration seems to have been a part of the plan, Koelnmesse COO Oliver Frese stated they were still pleasantly surprised with the turnout in the early stages.

“The early bird phase of gamescom 2025 has surpassed all expectations. The significant increase in comparison to last year’s record figures makes clear that gamescom is indispensable for the global games industry. The high level of interest and feedback from the industry gives us tremendous momentum and reinforces our intention to once again organize a superlative gamescom this year.”

Gamescom has become a staple event for video games ever since it debuted in August 2009 in Germany. It serves as the successor to the Federal Association of Interactive Entertainment Software, which previously hosted the Games Convention, which took place in Leipzig from 2002 to 2008.

Last year, the event attracted more than 335,000 visitors and 1,400 exhibitors, with even more fans watching the event virtually to see new game announcements and footage. Some titles shown at the 2024 event include Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Little Nightmares 3, Avowed, and Unknown 9: Awakening.

At the moment, there is no indication of what games will be a part of Gamescom 2025. Exhibitors for the event are also set to be announced at a later date, and interested companies can find information about opportunities on the official website.

Gamescom 2025 will take place on August 19 and last until August 24. While you wait, be sure to check out all the other similar events, including offshoots like Gamescom Asian.
