Today the developers of the upcoming open-world RPG Game of Thrones: Kingsroad provided some details about the global (more or less) launch of the game.

We learn that the game will release in approximately 200 countries simultaneously across North and South America, Europe, Oceania, the Middle East, and North Africa.

That being said development team at Netmarble is currently working on the necessary preparations for each region, taking into account local policies, languages, and technical environments, so the game’s availability “may vary by region.”

Asia is going to be an exception, and the plan is to release the game in the region at a later date, following “additional localization efforts.”

Netmarble plans to confirm the timeline as soon as possible, and to expand the game’s availability “swiftly”

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad was initially announced only for iOS and Android, but after a few weeks, Warner Bros. perhaps realized that it fell really short of the game’s potential and announced a PC version as well.

A demo was recently made available on Steam, but its availability has expired, so we’ll need to wait for the official release to play more unless Netmarble launches further beta testing phases (nothing has been said about this for now).

The game fully official and it’ll feature many known characters from the TV series, including their actors’ likenesses.

If you want to see more, you can check out another trailer showing monsters, including Daenerys Targaryen’s dragon Drogon. Speaking of likeness, you can also check out the extensive character creation suite, which we recorded from the demo.
