This Week in Flight Simulation News – December 22 to December 28, 2025

Flight simulation is basically the most active industry in gaming, with no day going by without relevant reveals. Yet, not everyone has the time to keep track of everything that happens.

That’s why we have published our 36th weekly video overview, including the major announcements and releases from the past week.

Of course, our videos are published on top of our daily news coverage, which isn’t going anywhere. They’re simply a handy weekly recap presented in a convenient format for those who prefer to consume their news this way.

The video won’t cover all the news from last week. If it did, it’d last an eternity, but it provides a hand-picked selection of releases and reveals to give you a good overview of what is going on. Incidentally, you can watch the 35th episode from the previous week if you so wish.

This week, we covered major flight simulators like Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, MSFS 2020, and X-Plane 12, on top of more niche ones like Bokukan 5 and Aces of Thunder. Of course, we also usually cover other sims like DCS World when they are featured in major news.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is available for PC and Xbox Series X|S.

X-Plane 12 is currently available for PC and mobile platforms.

Aces of Thunder will release for PC and PS5 on February 3, 2026.

Bokukan 5 doesn’t have a release date just yet, but it’s coming to PC.
