Every day, Simulation Daily publishes a roundup of all the news across the industry, to let you stay up to date with what’s going on. Incidentally, today we have news for the whole trinity of civilian flight simulators, including X-Plane and Lockheed Martin Prepar3D.

  • Classic Trijet Boeing 727 Released for Microsoft Flight Simulator

San Francisco International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator Gets Update 1.1.1, Update 1.2 Teased

Today Flightbeam Studios released a major update for its San Francisco International Airport (KSFO) in the United States, also mentioning that the airport is the best-selling ever for the developer.

The update includes the newly-built high-speed taxiway Tango, new airport vehicles, improved runway textures and decals (alongside the restoration of rubber marks that were loft between layers), and new flora.

Below you can find the full changelog.

  • New taxiway layout (high speed taxiway T and surrounding area)
  • Tweaks to shoreline
  • G gates improved jetway length to reach PMDG 777
  • Some shrubs, grass added to various ground areas
  • Taxiway decal resolution improvements
  • Improved runway textures, with added grooves to match real airport and other enhancements
  • New, detailed fire trucks added to airport fire stations
  • Improvements to runway lighting, particularly light positions
  • Many other improvements and additions

We also hear that the upcoming version 1.2 will include custom taxiway lighting, alongside “many other surprises.”

British Isles Mesh Released for X-Plane

Stool released the British Isles MeshXP package, focusing on improving the elevation of the area focusing on the UK.

Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport Released for P3D

Horizon Sim released its rendition of Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport (KPVD) in the US for Lockheed Martin Prepar3D 5.

It’s available on Simmarket for approximately $26. It comes with the following features.

  • International Airport 2024 layout.
  • Airport Groundpoly.
  • Compatible with Orbx openLC North America.
  • Dynamic Light.
  • Animated Jetway.
  • FPS friendly.
